Diaper Rash: Symptoms, Care & Warning Signs

Fever, spreading cellulitis, or a beefy rash after 48–72 hours of barrier care.
What this means
Diaper rash is one of the most searched baby symptoms. Barrier paste and dry time help most irritant cases. Powders are avoided. Coconut oil is only for intact mild redness — never on open sores, yeast plaques, or the cord.

Safe home care (not a prescription)
Change promptly, air-dry, apply thick zinc-oxide. No talc. If yeast is suspected, a clinician may prescribe an antifungal — do not guess with leftover adult cream.
